He was already world famous by the time he moved there in 1948. So many times before he had spend his holidays on this very coastline, drawing it and painting it, celebrating, flirting, loving. Now Pablo Picasso was to make the French Riviera the scene for the final two and a half decades of his life: it was to be the source of his inspiration.
